Screen announced the latest installation of a Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label press at the company headquarters of Springfield Solutions in Hull, East Yorkshire, England. The expanded printing facility has been christened #PrintWorks.
The Truepress Jet L350UV is well known across the printing industry for its ability to meet the demands of a variety of industry applications. Use of the innovative label press is already well established across the U.S., thanks to industry-leading printers who appreciate its photo-realistic quality, fast job turnarounds, simple operation and high stability.
In 2014 Springfield Solutions was the first company to install a Truepress Jet L350UV in Europe. Just a year later, the company proved its faith in the innovative label press by buying a second machine. The recent purchase of another Truepress Jet L350UV is part of Springfield Solutions doubling the size of its digital print operation.
The physical expansion at Springfield Solutions came about because of the steady growth experienced by the 42-year-old global digital print, brand management and media company. In 2014 the British company had reached a first-time yearly printing milestone of more than 100 million labels, followed by 140 million in 2015 and 175 million last year.
To complete the launch of its #PrintWorks expanded printing facility, Springfield Solutions enlarged its Thomas Street building footprint from 20,000 to more than 26,000 square feet. With the addition of the Truepress Jet L350UV and extra print area, Springfield Solutions has increased its printing capacity by 30 percent.

The Screen Truepress L350UV delivers the smoothest gradations and sharpest detail with the thinnest ink lay-down compared to other inkjet label devices. Solids are dense and free of pinholes and streaks. Accurate reproduction of images, logos and container colours improves product appeal in the crowded marketplace, and sets the machine apart from other digital inkjet presses for label printing.
“We will now be able to print millions more labels and improve lead times for print and brand management customers. We now have the consistency and continuity allowing us to innovate and push the boundaries of what digital print can do,” Ebeltoft said. “That is great news for our clients and the industry as a whole.”
