The creative team at Netherlands-based direct mail company Nic Oud, Screen’s European early adopter for their high quality inkjet press the Truepress Jet520HD, have consistently demonstrated great innovation in their use of technology. A great recent example is the company’s own 2015 Christmas card.
The card arrives as a personalised one-piece mailer but when fully opened it shows a Christmas tree that is just over one metre in length. The Christmas tree shape is achieved through a series decreasing concertina folds with a final cross fold to create what initially looks like a conventional card.
Each card is also personalised to the recipient in several places, including the name and address on the front that forms the delivery information once the card is closed.
