Nic.Oud invests in ‘Euro-first’ technology to produce hyper-personalised, ultra-quality marketing material

Nic.Oud, (www.nicoud.nl), is the first company in Europe to invest in the ‘game-changing’ Screen Truepress Jet520HD inkjet web press announced worldwide today. Nic.Oud produces direct mail for brands such as Heineken, Makro, Sanoma, and T-Mobile and the new press will transform the company’s marketing print services by enabling it to produce powerful, hyper-personalised content which matches online campaigns in delivering high-response results.

The innovative press, to be installed at Nic.Oud’s Heerhugowaard production site in November, delivers a superb print resolution of 1200x1200dpi. Its ability to print on material from 40gsm to 250gsm allows the company to produce a wide range of personalised products: one-piece mailers, direct mail, brochures, booklets, magazines, paper wraps, post cards and even books.

“Quality is extremely important to our customers,” says Maurice Gelissen, CFO, Nic.Oud.  “We have spent a lot of time evaluating a lot of presses and conducting blind tests and the Screen Truepress Jet 520HD is absolutely the best. A significant feature is its ability to print onto a broad range of paper and board weights. So, not only does this press open up a new era in ultra-quality, personalised, direct mail production, but also gives us the power to produce a variety of other materials. The new press has huge potential and gives us a significant opportunity to offer highly creative print services to our customers to make their communications much more dynamic and effective.”
