The SCREEN Truepress Jet L350 SAI S will help AVVO stay competitive and meet growing demands
Aalsmeer, the Netherlands / Durban, South Africa – South African label specialist AVVO has installed a SCREEN Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S machine to broaden its business for self-adhesive and other labels. The company is one of the largest suppliers of self-adhesive labels in South-Africa.
“To keep up with the demand for digital printing, we took the leap and invested in a SCREEN Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S, our second SCREEN inkjet press in a few years,” says AVVO general manager Ronnie Rampirith. “After the challenging COVID-19 years and devastating floods in 2022 that directly affected the company, this new machine will help us get back on our feet.”
Rampirith adds: “It was important for us to continue growing, increase our capacity, and expand our portfolio. The machine’s ability to deliver fast turnaround times with consistent quality has allowed us to retain our market competitiveness.”
Subtle tones and photorealistic quality
AVVO chose the L350UV SAI S label press for its production speed of 60m/min, printheads that provide smooth reproduction of halftone images, and colour blending that allows subtle tones and photorealistic quality.
The new inkjet technology will further enhance AVVO’s efficiency, building on the SCREEN press’s intuitive design and ease-of-use. The Durban-based company specialises in one-to-eight-colour self-adhesive labels, including barcode, garment, computer, wraparound, and shrink-sleeve labels.
AVVO has fully integrated the new Truepress L350UV SAI S with a ROTOCON ECOLINE RDF 330 digital finishing machine. The two machines – both installed and serviced with the help of SCREEN’s South African agent, ROTOCON – handle substrate thickness from 40 to 250g/m2, and the UV ink curing system supports printing on any media.
